Tim Stevens is a researcher on the ICSR's Countering Online Radicalisation project. His research interests include terrorism, insurgency and information environments, subjects he writes regularly about on his blog, Ubiwar. He is the Editor of the interdisciplinary Complex Terrain Laboratory online project at University College London. Tim is a member of the Insurgency Research Group at King's College London, for whom he is writing a book chapter on terrorism, insurgency and virtual worlds. He is currently pursuing his MA in War Studies in the Department of War Studies at King's. He completed his undergraduate degree in archaeology at UCL in 1996, after which he worked as a project manager for commercial archaeological companies in Europe, and for academic research projects in central America and the Middle East.
